DPI Freezing | Storing - Frozen giant snow crab can be kept in a freezer for several months due to it's protective water glaze.
Thawing - To thaw giant snow crab, place it in the refrigerator a day prior to cooking. The sealed packages can also be ran under cold water to speed this up considerably.
Left-over snow crab should be kept under refrigeration and used within a couple of days. |
DPI Packaging | Packaging - Our giant snow crab leg clusters average about 1.2 pounds each, or larger. Our giant snow crab legs are pre-cooked, then flash-frozen in cluster form and packaged in clear plastic bags for easy freezer storage.
How Much to Order - 3 pounds of giant snow crab will serve 2 to 3 people easily if you're serving with additional entrees. If you're having a crab feast or are serving a group of crab lovers, 1 & 1/2 pounds per person would be a good start. |
