Renowned for their pure, sweet flavor, spot prawns (also know as 'spot shrimp') have a clan, almost 'sugary' flavor that connoisseurs rave about. They are the shrimp of choice for many Alaskans, and are hailed for their excellent flavor and large size. Please note: spot shrimp often carry a few eggs. These eggs are perfectly good to eat, or can easily be removed before cooking.

Thawing:
Our spot shrimp can be thawed under refrigeration about 12 hours before preparation. The vacuum-sealed packages can also be ran under cold water to speed this up considerably.

Serving Sizes:
A one pound package would be good for 2 to 3 people if serving with other entree additions. If serving as a "shrimp feast" then about twice this amount would suffice.
