Combine in food processor and pulse until well-blended, or mix thoroughly in a large bowl. The recipe doubles or triples well. A very versatile seasoning blend. Use this
as a base seasoning, and build upon it in your dish.
Combine all ingredients thoroughly. Store in an air-tight container. Makes 2/3 cup seasoning.
Creole Seafood Seasoning
Ingredients:
1/3 cup Salt 1/3 cup Paprika 1/4 cup Black Pepper 1/4 cup Garlic Powder 3 Tbsp Onion Powder
2 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper 2 Tbsp Oregano 2 Tbsp Thyme
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into large glass jar and seal tightly. Keeps indefinitely. NOTE: If black pepper is not to your taste, reduce amount to
half.
Creole Seasoning Blend
Ingredients:
1 Tbsp Salt 1 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder 1 1/2 tsp Onion Powder 1 1/2 tsp Paprika
1 1/4 tsp dried Thyme 1 tsp red Pepper 3/4 tsp Black Pepper 3/4 tsp dried Oregano 1/2 tsp ground Bay Leaves
1/4 tsp Chili Powder
Directions:
Combine all ingredients; store in an airtight container. Use with seafood, chicken, beef, or vegetables. Makes 1/4 cup.
