Our Alaska rockfish fillets are mild and slightly sweet-tasting with a medium-firm meat that tends to flake easily.

There are over 40 species of rockfish in Alaska waters, with the majority of these caught within the Gulf of Alaska.

Serving Sizes

About 1/3 to 1/2 pound per person is a good portion size when serving rockfish.

Portion Sizes

Our rockfish fillets are flash-frozen and individually vacuum-sealed for your convenience. They can be stored in your freezer for several months. Fillets range from small 1/3 lb portions to 1 lb packages.

Storing and Thawing

To thaw fresh-frozen rockfish fillets, place them in refrigerator for a day. Because they are vacuum-sealed you can also run cold water over sealed fillets to speed up the thawing process. Left-over rockfish should be refrigerated and used within a couple of days.
