|
Which days do you ship? Monday through Thursday for next day delivery.
How much does shipping cost? Shipping costs $29.00 plus $1.95 per pound. Shipping includes insulated box(es), dry or gel ice, packing foam, shipping insurance, and
overnight delivery service. Some more "remote" areas require Priority FedEx shipping which costs an additional $15.00. Hawaii shipping cost an additional $35. Remote Alaska areas cost an
additional $15.00
How do you ship? We ship using FedEx overnight service. For remote Alaska locations, we ship with Alaska
Airlines Goldstreak.
How do I track my package? On the day of shipping, we will send you your tracking number via email. Within that email, there will be a link that you can click which will take you to the FedEx tracking web page where you can track your order.
Can I ship to multiple addresses? Yes, you can place multiple orders for different locations. This requires placing an order for
each destination. Often, it is easier to place these multi-orders over the phone and allow a trained service representative to quickly get you through the process. This summer we will be adding
"Address Books" to our online store which will allow you to store multiple shipping addresses.
Do you ship to Canada? No,
not at this time, but we expect to begin in 2009
Do you ship internationally? No, we only ship within the Continental
U.S. at this time.
Can I use my own FedEx account? At this time, we do not accept customer FedEx accounts for order
shipping. We have worked closely with FedEx over several years and our FedEx shipping rates out of Alaska are very competitive.

Thawing & Storing Seafood
|
|
|
|
What is the best way to thaw frozen seafood? It depends. Crab is best thawed
within a refrigerator over the course of a day. Other fish, such as salmon and halibut can also be thawed within the refrigerator, however, they can also be put under cold running water to speed up
the thawing process. This should only be done if they are within their original packaging or you have placed them within a zip-lock bag.
Can I freeze my fish after
it has thawed? This is not recommended as domestic freezers usually do not have the freezing power to freeze fish fast enough. This will cause crystallization of
the meat and lower the quality of the fish dramatically. It is best to prepare any thawed fish for consumption and comsume the left-overs, if any, within two days.
How
long will my fresh fish last? You should consume fresh fish within two days after receiving it.
